Onwards to Day Three of Staff Appreciation Week!

So I’m dead beat tired and the effort of thinking up an upbeat post is just… deadening (sorry everyone <3), so it'll be downbeat today. Seeing as I'm an Editor myself, I'll just say woo~ editing! Yeah! All we have to do is take the raw, erase out the jap and stick the translation in. So easy!

Yeah right. Get real. As much as I love it, it zaps the energy out of you. So all you complainers about how slow DD is, I'd like to see you try redrawing Kurosaki's stinking hair. (I think it was, what, 5 hours on one page?). This applies to any other series too! So make sure you appreciate these guys, Cheezy, Feize, MadHatter, Mioka92, Misaki-chan, myself (Naomi), Nibynoga, Pigasus, Riesz and Sunako. They do a super job and I love slaving them <3

We're releasing Beauty Honey chapter four today. Woah, I hear you people mumbling “what? Conspiracy!” already. So let’s clear this up. Basically, we started up a joint with Lover’s Dream and we started on chapter four, but it seems the joint has failed and another group has picked it up from chapter three. Now, we don’t want to waste resources on a series being done by another group, but neither do we want to waste the work done to this chapter. SO, now that we’ve released it, we are now officially dropping this series. Best of luck to the other group.

Anyway, this turned out to be a slightly biased post towards Editors but oh well *whistles*

And now we commence Day Two of Staff Appreciation Week!

For today, we’ll be celebrating those of our family who we could not live without! Because without them (unless you know another language fluently), we would be those who just staaaare at raw pages, trying to figure out just what on earth is going on ;D

Of course, we are talking none other than our incredible Translators! We’ll be releasing a new series, chapter one of Gokujou no Yoru wo Ageru for Cheezy, Doedoebird, Elcrane, Kae, Naraitai, Pepper, Polar Bear, Rainedropz, Rizelchama, Tea-Theory, Vampickle, Wolfpup and X-ecks!

So remember to appreciate them! Otherwise, we’ll all be a group of raw ogglers, or trying in vain to learn some jap haha xD

Oh, wow, is this a release you see? Why yes, but this is not just any release… this is a Staff Appreciation Week release! Everyday for a week (or technically 5 days) there will be a chapter dedicated to each section of the family, because without them, OS wouldn’t even be here! So come along everyday and see the surprises

So for Day One, we’ll be celebrating our wonderful Quality Checkers with chapter 18 of Dengeki Daisy. They look over the chapters to see if they’re sparkling perfect before we chuck them out to you readers. Wait, hang on… how come there are only two names on the insert? Oh, nope, my mistake, there ARE only two names because these two are our very hardworking QCers! So say your thanks and appreciation to Sunako, our special Quality Checker for Dengeki Daisy, and Angelintheice who QCs… everything else! ;O (I don’t really understand how she does it, but she does xD)

So if you are a lurker out there, just come into irc or the forums (I’ll tempt you with a cookie!) and just say a really quick tiny thank you (or even a ty xD), because these tiny thank yous (or large ones, thank you Sarah! <3) can mean a whole lot to us

WHAM! Love the new site? Definitely x10 sexier.  Big thanks to Procyon and Cheezy <3 (There are still a few more tweaks needed, but hopefully we can get them done within the week).

Anyway, I’m supposed to write a long ass new year post filled with rants and such, since this will be my first and last post of 2010 for the next…2ish months.  But, I guess when it comes down to it, there are really too many things for me to say now (it is an overwhelming moment for me).

So let me keep this short and sincere- Thank you to all the wonderful OS Family Members that have kept me going and thank you to everyone who have supported OS along the years! Like every year, OS would be nothing without everyone! Thank you (’:
